Voice Drop ("we," "our," "us") is an independently developed app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Voice Drop app, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication details from Apple, Google, or our email sign-in link. You can also use Voice Drop as a guest without creating an account.
Voice recordings and transcripts. When you record a drop, we process the audio to create a text transcript, and our AI organizes that transcript into cards (ideas, insights, questions, decisions, reflections, references) and threads. We store the transcript and these cards so you can revisit them.
Usage data. We collect basic technical information (device type, app version, crash logs) to keep the app working reliably.
Payment information. Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play and processed via RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
We use your voice recordings and transcripts solely to provide the app's core features: transcription, AI sorting into categories and threads, the Mixer, and Projects. We use your account information to sync your data across devices and manage your subscription. We do not sell your data, and your drops are never made public or shared with other users.
To provide transcription and AI sorting, your recordings and transcripts are sent to third-party AI providers (including OpenAI and Anthropic) strictly to generate your results — never for advertising or to train their general models on your data beyond what their own enterprise terms guarantee. Subscription billing is processed by RevenueCat, Apple, and Google. Our backend infrastructure is provided by Supabase.
Your drops are stored until you delete them or delete your account. You can wipe your entire drop history at any time from History → Wipe all history. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your account and associated data within 30 days, with backups purged within 90 days.
You can access, edit, export, and delete your data directly within the app at any time — no request needed. If you're in a region with additional data rights (such as the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, request correction, or object to certain processing; contact us using the details below.
We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all data sent between the app and our servers, and access controls to limit who can view your data.
Voice Drop is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the effective date above when we do.
